Founded in 1995 by Christian Haug and Andreas Farrenkopf the companies HAUG ELEKTRONIK and ING.-BUERO FARRENKOPF merged to become HETRONIK GmbH (1998) and MULTIBA GmbH (2000). The mission statement; develop, manufacturer and market an innovative automation system controlling infrared (IR) heaters:

At turn of the years 2009/2010 HETRONIK GmbH (development and production) has taken over the HC activities (sales, documentation, technical support) of MULTIBA GmbH.

In 1981/1982, Christian Haug was the director of development at SCHLEICHER ELECTRONIC a market leading temperature control manufacturer. Christian lead the development of the first ever designed heating control systems (PDTA3, PDTA4 and HS3).

Already In October of 1996, an Italian OEM installed first ever HC200 system. The Italian machines manufacturer plastic containers for food. The HETRONIK control system proved to be innovative, reliable and competitively priced. Within the next decade our products established themselves in its niche market, despite facing strong political competition from SIEMENS system HS724 (HS724I, HCS724I). HETRONIK has the largest product range of any IR control system manufacturer and we are least the market leader for multi channel IR heating element control systems in Europe. Through continuous investment, research and development our HC product family is capable of controlling any IR heating application. The HC communicates with multiple automation systems allowing simple integration of existing systems and new design.Many hundred of installations have proven the HC product durable, reliable and efficient in the industrial environment. HETRONIK continues to move forward with new products and features, expanding our product offering to the growing customer base.
